Slate (a business division of Extreme Reach, Inc.) is committed to respecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, disclose, store and otherwise process information when you use the Slate application.
Slate collects contact information from Slate users for the purposes of establishing their user accounts.
We collect information, including personal information, that you provide us voluntarily. For example:
Slate also collects IP addresses from visitors to the Slate site, and also logs non-personally-identifiable information, including aggregate user data, and browser type, from users and visitors to the site.
User account data is used for the purposes of providing secure access to the Slate application and your content. It is also used for the purposes of contacting you for product updates, support queries, billing, and other service related communications.
Slate visitor data is used to provide users with engagement information about their content. Non-personally identifiable information is used to manage the Slate sites, track usage and improve website services.
Additionally, by using the built-in Slate email service, recipient email address data is tied to on site activity for the purposes of engagement information.

With respect to our Services, Slate collects information under the direction of its Customers (the data controller), and has no direct relationship with the individuals whose personal information it processes. The processing of data sent from our Customers is governed by our Terms of Use, or any other agreement agreed to and signed by Slate with our Customers. If you are a customer of one of our Customers and would like more information on their use of your data, please contact the Customer that you interact with directly.
Slate acknowledges that you have the right to access your personal information. An individual who seeks access, or who seeks to correct, amend, or delete inaccurate data should direct his or her query to the Slate Customer (the data controller) who will then provide instructions to Slate, if necessary. If requested to remove data we will respond within a reasonable timeframe.
Slate may disclose personal information to our third-party vendors and service providers that work with us. We will only share personal information to these vendors and service providers to help us provide a product or service to you.
We do not otherwise sell, trade, or transfer collected information to outside parties, unless we believe release is appropriate to comply with the law, enforce our site policies, or protect ours or others’ rights, property, or safety.
Security of all information is of the utmost importance to us. We use technical and physical safeguards to protect the security of your personal information from unauthorized disclosure. We also make all attempts to ensure that only necessary people and third parties have access to personal and confidential information.
We require that our third party service providers (1) use confidential information only to perform their obligations, and (2) otherwise maintain the confidentiality of such information. These third party service providers and channel partners are expected to maintain privacy and security protections that are consistent with Slate's privacy and information security policies.

Slate is committed to protecting your data in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR). We may sometimes be the data controller. However, in other contexts, we may be a data processor, with the company that engaged our services acting as the data controller.
Should you have any issues with how we handle your data, we request that you contact us first so that we can make every effort to address your concerns. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
Consent is the legal basis for collecting and processing Slate data.
We do not transfer any of your information submitted via Slate across international borders. We store and process data in the United States, Canada and the UK, depending on customer location. Slate data accessed by customers internationally may be transferred by such customers.
Slate recognizes the importance of protecting the privacy and safety of children. Our application and services are primarily directed towards the advertising industry and are not directed towards children. We do not knowingly collect information about children under the age of 13.
We retain data we collect from the Slate application. We may be obligated to retain data for contractual or regulatory reasons.
Slate reserves the right to change, modify, add or remove portions of this Privacy Policy at any time without notice (except for EU subjects, where we will notify you if we change how we process your data and will obtain your consent for alternate use of your data). Any changes to this Privacy Policy will become effective when we post the revised version on our website.
You can opt-out of marketing, support, or other emails by contacting Extreme Reach or by clicking the unsubscribe link from a marketing email, which will remove you from our marketing list.
